Strategic and Security Studies (B.A.)

The Bachelor of Arts in Strategic and Security Studies is a comprehensive degree program that offers students six concentrations from which to select: Cybersecurity, History, Intelligence, International Affairs, Language, or Military Science. Each concentration builds upon a foundation of language learning through the 2002 level in Area F as well as additional foundational courses focusing on internationalization from different disciplinary perspectives.

The program of study is comprised of an 18 hour interdisciplinary Common Curriculum that focuses on Military History, Political Science, and Geography courses. Each of the six concentrations require 21 credit hours; the Study Abroad/Internship requirement is 9-15 hours, depending on contact hours; and there are 6-12 hours for electives.

No grade below “C” will be acceptable in any Political Science or International Affairs course or any course in the major area for Political Science, Strategic & Security Studies, or International Affairs majors.
